I apologize if this is in the wrong area, I didn't really know where to categorize this.
I have a specific question about a out-of-the-box Orion dashboard alert "NetPerfMon Event Log : VMDK file(s) of ${DisplayName} have not been accessed for more than 30 days".
We have it setup but it shows almost all of our VDI VMs as inactive, when in fact they are not. I downloaded SWQL Studio and changed the query to give me the VirtualDiskDateModified and it shows dates that are 6 ,7, 8 months ago. Picking out a specific VM from this list and checking the modified date for the VMDK in VMware the date shows today.
Would anybody know where this old date is coming from? It doesn't appear to be 'DateCreated' either as that's a different date. There's no other file within the datastore's file structure with the same date. This might be more of a VMware issue but thought I'd ask to see if anybody had ran accross something like this before.
Is there a better way to get notified that a VMDK hasn't been modified in 30 days?
Thanks.
