Overview

Hi:

In my Orion environment I have 4000 nodes, and when I click in Overview,

I get a lot of green leds with a tiny grey blinking led.

Why this occur ?

Is there any way to fix this ?

This typically happens because interfaces are unknown to Orion. Drill into the node and look at your interfaces. Why are they unknown?

I have seen this before when snmp fails to poll but the device is still up. The same thing will also hapen when an interface is pysicaly removed from a device. The interface will show as "unknown".

I've also seen this when you replace a device with a different model but use the same IP address. For example, you replace a Cisco 1720 router with a 2851. Your FastEthernet0 interface will be replaced by a GigabitEthernet0/0 interface. You'll have to manually delete the missing interface. You can do that by going to Node Management, find the device, expand the interfaces, check the box next to the grey interface and click the Delete button on the Node Management menu bar.
