The collector polling controller keeps restarting and i have no clue why. I found out something was wrong when i disconnected a device and its node on the map did not change to red. I have gone through all of the instructions here: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Collector Data Processor and Collector Polling Controller start and stop intermittently but with absolutely no success. I have gone through the Configuration Wizard twice and still no success. Now I cant even get the web site working again . Can anyone help?????
What else can I try????
Mean while, could you try to see the Logs?? Maybe someone help you to identify the problem
SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Available Orion Core Logs
Of course, if you have not been reviewed the logs yet
I have attached log files to my original post.
Can i get some help deciphering the logs???
Thanks
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still not working.....
There was a memory leak in the collector in 10.4. 10.4.1 fixes that bug. I had a hot fix with 10.4 and just upgraded to 10.4.1 and I am happy to report that the collector is working flawlessly.
My symptom was that devices were polled, but the polls were not getting written to the database. The queues would fill up until the system ground to a halt. You can see the queues in Start/Run/Perfmon and add counter for MSMQ Queues. I added the message queue Solarwinds instances. The counters should go up and down, but never up only.
