Adding Specific Pool Members of F5 Pool to the Orion Summary Page

I have a question regarding Solarwinds and F5 monitoring that I hope you can assist with.

I want to add “Pool Members” under one of our F5 pool details to the TV Summary page.

However, I cant find that Resource when I create the view.

So in order to add info about a specific detailed object to a summary page you usually will end up wanting to using the custom table or custom chart widgets.  There are lots of widgets that kind of do the job for specific use cases here and there, but they custom table can basically cover anything you need, so I rarely spend much time hunting through all the other random ones that might or might not give me what I need.

To your specific case of needing to show info about a pool, I'd do it like this (sorry I can't post images, the new Thwack seems not to support that??)

Add the Custom Table to your summary view

Configure the resource (edit)

Select Datasource 

I want to report on [F5 Device] from the drop down

Set the radio button to Advanced Selector

Add a simple condition

Click select field

In the top left hit the drop down and change it from [F5 Device] to [F5 LTM Pool]

Set the radio button on the option to the right that says Name

Add Column

Click Update Data Source

On the Table Layout section click the (+) icon to add which columns of information you want to display

This opens another box, for myself I checked the box in Name on that first screen to have my table include the name of the F5 node, then hit the drop down and select [F5 LTM Pool] from the list again, check the rest of the columns you want to display like Short Name, Status, Status Reasonm, Actual Member Percentage.

Add Column

Submit

There's a lot more you can do to play with how everything looks if you like, but you can figure those out I expect.
