2nd issue concerning virtual memory
ralf.hessberger
Hi there,
another thing concerning the Virtual memory index on our servers:
If we try to search for all events on the console for that special object "<our_server>-Virtual memory" events for another router is displayed in the search result as well.
We got one server, on which the index for the virtual memory ( it's NT4 ) has not been shifted at any time and if you search on that you only see events from another router which has noting to do with the server at all.
But - if you search on the server objects itself none of the "crosslinked" router events appear.
We do run the db maint every week, can anybody try to reproduce this error or knows how to handle that. We're going to mistrust the "search events" option more and more now.
bye,
Ralf

Sounds like you need to run the comapct & re-index job in the database maintenance app. I ran an advanced database maintenance tool in V6.4 but it appears it's gone in V7. Be aware, this could take some time, and your polling engine will stop while this is running. Make sure it is running once the job has finished.
