Grouping Nodes/Interfaces/Custom Pollers

I know this was asked for a number of years ago as a feature request but wanted to know if this is one your roadmap.

Do you know if in later releases it will be possible to group nodes together into a logical object. So if you had 4 LDAP servers you could add them to the group and then monitor the group object for changes and based on the overall status of the group base your alerts.

Also it would be good when creating maps that if your service relies on AD/LDAP that you could just drag that group object to the map instead of the individual items. This could be done in some ways now by adding them to a map then referencing that map as an object.

this would be an excellent feature, as it would start to take the product in the enterprise class of CA, HP, BMC. If implemented correctly, it would enable us Managed Services providers to build "layered services" within the product, so that we could start to create alerts that tell us what part of a customer experience is affected. i.e. Email is made up of an exchange server, an email gateway, a switch, router and firewall. if any component goes down, the "service" is affected. it would be a step towards full element dependency which is the end vision... :-)
