Resources Monitored were Removed after Changing the POlling Method from SNMP to WMI

Hello, SolarKids and SolarMasters!

Any idea on this please.We have added several Windows servers via SNMP.

From SNMP, volumes and other resources are monitored already. However, upon changing it to WMI, the previously monitored resources are not being monitored anymore.

We need to update all windows servers to WMI. Is there a way we can change it from SNMP to WMI with the monitored resources still in place? Thank you so much!

BTW, we tried to do it via Sonar Discovery but to know avail. It's quite tedious to do it per node.

Try going to Manage Nodes > Select/tick all SNMP enabled Windows devices > click Edit Properties > Check Polling Method > Select Windows Servers : WMI and ICMP > Submit,

And note that there will be no way to keep all historical data since not all SNMP enabled devices (ie. that polls volume, CPU) will respond to WMI request as well. vice versa.

Yup. We successfully changed the polling method from SNMP to WMI.

And yes, data upon changing might lose. However, is there a way that the previously monitored resources such as volumes from SNMP, be reatined when changed to WMI? Because what we are experiencing now, upon successful changing of polling method, no more resources are monitored.

I guess not. it will ask you though if you want to continue changing polling method.
