Remote connection warning dialog

Question

Is there a setting in MRC to prevent this warning? I did some research and found some info indicating it may be due to MS update KB2592687 which is the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) 8.0 update for Windows 7. I uninstalled the update, but I am still getting the warning. I do not get this warning when using MS RDP. I need to start MRC from the command line and login, it starts up and get stuck on this dialog, I tried various cmd line switch settings with no luck.

You can look for some random service that linked to it and disable.

Most likely installing the update enabled RDP 8.0 in group policy settings. Now that you removed the update you will likely have to disable RDP 8.0 in group policy settings.

Disable this setting:

Computer Configuration-> Administrative Templates-> Windows Components-> Remote Desktop Services-> Remote Desktop Session Host-> Remote Session Environment->Enable Remote Desktop Protocol 8.0
