Escalated Alerting

Hi,
I am getting ready to evaluate SW but I am hoping that someone can answer a question regarding alerting beforehand.
We currently use What's Up Gold which has served us well in most respects but does not have alot of the features of SW. One feature that we consider critical is escalated notifications and the ablility to acknowledge alerts in WUG. Does SW have these features?
