Can't monitor SNMP string in V8 Beta

I currently have 2 different solarwinds servers running: one version 7 and the other is the new Beta. On the old one it accepts the snmp string and I can see the interfaces for that device. On the beta it is telling me that the string does not respond. I can see clearly that the string is working from my other server. Without being able to setup snmp I can't use the custom mibs. They are 2 different devices, ones a sensatronics and the other is a visual probe.

I was able to add other devices correctly to the beta server.

What type of device are you trying to monitor?

Ensure that SNMP polls are allowed from the source address of the new V8 server, through any firewalls harware or software. Also check on the monitored device to check the SNMP service allows queries from the new IP adress.

I've had the same problem, Solarwinds sent me a pactch that fixed the problem. Have you isntalled Beta 2 yet as this probably has all the patches in the product.

I had the sam issue wilth Beta build 101... Got build 111 last night and it seems to have been fixed.
