alerts best practice

whats the best practice for npm alerts?

do i have to enable only either basic or advance or both?

i could see by default that some alerts in the basic were also present in the advance. why is that?

Basic alerts were the original alerts in the product, and they're simpler. Advanced alerts are more powerful. I would recommend sticking with advanced alerts.
