I seem to find that i am getting a lot of "unknown State" in my alerts, it only happens for some monitors as shown below.
When all the below alerts were triggered, i only received emails with the "Down" events and not the unknown state events.
Couple of questions:
1) How to change these "unknown state" to "Down" as this server stopped responding and was rebooted and I did not get any alerts to say they were down (as shown below) as the status was "unknown" when it was clearly "down"
2) i also use the "alert me if a group goes down" \ Warning\Critical" alerts and i did not receive any alerts for these either, even through the group went into warning as shown below.
