I have a deployment scenario that I am trying to address, but cannot figure out the best way to deploy it, I'll do my best to explain it and any advice or suggestions would be welcome;
- I have two data centre locations (DCA, DCB)
- I have redundant connections between DCA & DCB
- I have equipment that is permanently located in both DCA and DCB (Fixed)
- I also have a lot of customer equipment that connects to our PE routers in either DCA or DCB (transient)
- If either DCA & DCB go offline, the transient equipment will attempt to connect to a PE router in the availabile data centre.
I am trying to achieve the following;
- Have one view (portal) for all equipment
- To ensure that any available equipment is continually polled during a DC outage or a connectivity issue between DCA & DCB.
- Ideally a centralised place to configure equipment (one datasource)
I have explored the idea of using the FoE, but I'm not really looking to DR solarwinds, because I would still want Solarwinds in DCA to work if only the links went down between DCA & DCB.
Thanks in advnce,
Dan
