We are using network atlas to monitor a page full of interfaces.
If a node goes down, the interface that sits behind changes to unknown.
This does not make the map go red.
Is there a way around this?
Sam
The interface in unknown because it's unreachable since a link or device between it and NPM is down. The reason it's marked unknown and not down ie. red is because it may still be up... NPM just doesn't know because it's behind something else that is down. One thing that you can do is make the status of something in network atlas dependent on something by dragging an interface etc. into the LED's property windows you see when you right click on the LED and do a properties. This is where you can set what causes the LED to change status.
This does work and makes the interfaced go down.
I have thousands of nodes, is there a way to do this on a bulk level.
As in make all interfaces dependant on their own switch.
