Sneak peek of features in Orion 9?

Hi,

is there a list of features / workflows / changes for Orion Version 9 compared to 8.5? Were about to install 8.5 and don't want to spend a lot of time configuring some of it when it will be better addressed in v9, i.e. alerts not being depandant upon other devices in 8.5 where as maybe they will be in v9? I'd also love to see graphs inside reports and would love to not have to create xls spreadsheets now with the knowledge that it's available in v9 reports.

The two features you mention are not in Orion 9. The showcase features in Orion 9 are web-based node management and a new Universal Device Poller.

Given an anticipated release date of summer of 08 you must be pretty well locked into what new features will be in version 9. I'm sure you realize better than I that without a list you will be deluged by people of my ilk asking if thier most coveted feature(s) will be in included. In case a list is not forthcoming let me start the parade by asking...Will WMI pollers for monitoring MS Exchange and Active Directory be included in Ver 9 ???

Gotta tell you haven't felt this level of aniticipation since I was 6 years old on X-Mas morning wondering if one of those presents under the tree was "Rockem-Sockem-Robots". So whatta you say Solarwinds Santa how's X-Mas in summer going to be this year ??

How about support for a custom MIB table? Did that make it in this release?

Yes. That's part of the new Universal Device Poller, which is a replacement for the Custom MIB poller.
