Delayed Alerting?
NOCMonkey
Is there a way to enable paging only if something has been down for a specified period of time? Or to specify a differnet polling period for a different time of day?
Say for instance I knew that I have a site that the WAN link will go down for 5 minutes every night while maintenance is done, and I dont want to recieve a page every night at 2am. Is there a way to no disable alarms on it, yet still get paged if its down for, oh say 1 hour? Is there a way to do that within SW?
Thanks

Ok, Is there maybe a way to set the polling intervals to be different based on the time of day? This would almost accomplish the same thing..

SW *should* integrate a 'maintenance' feature into the Alerts, whereby a specified time is entered into the alert so it disables the alert during that time. I know that DeepMetrix's ipMonitor has this feature, and I'm would imagine that WhatsUp Gold has this.
Feature request!

You can set the time of day and the day which you want the alert to be active during. So if you have nightly maintainence between 1 and 2 am, you should be able to set the window accordingly.
It would be nice if this were a litte more flexible, so you could define times NOT to alert during. If you're doing maint. you can also temporarily disable alerts during the window manually, just make sure your SOP has a step to turn them all back on at the end of the maintenance.

Ian-Unfortunately, I dont have a standard maintenance window. I would like only delayed alerting, not specific maintenance windows.
