Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Pix 525 interface traffic
kbmcox
I am successfully receiving SNMP CPU/Memory info from a Pix 525 to my solarwinds workstation. I'm not getting any interface traffic info. The Network Performance Monitor says "No data available for that time period" no matter what is selected.
I read the docs for both Solarwinds and the Cisco SNMP regarding Pix 6.3(1) with no solutions. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
i have multiple Pix's that i monitor, first thou, you might want to up the image to 6.3.5 since the 6.3.1 has a bag of bugs - althoug i am not sure if this affects the monitoring of the interfaces (assuming you monitor from inside your LAN).
Monitoring on 635 works like a charm. All i set is the snmp-server host and the community string. Orion picks it up without any problems.
Just have to select which interface i want to monitor and thats it.
Oh, we used 7.5 and now 7.8 on our network, both without a problem, so there might be some bug in 631 - hope it helps

Make sure you have the following lines configured on the PIX:
snmp-server community xxxxxx
snmp-server host inside x.x.x.x poll commmunity xxxxxx
