Good value for Statistics Collection?

I was wondering how low people go for the Statistics Collection interval? I've lowered it from 10 down to 5minutes, and everything is behaving nicely. For some of my more critical networks, could I go even lower? Say every 2 minutes -- so I can catch momentary spikes?

My server is a fairly powerful VM, so at the moment resources aren't a problem. I have a SLA500 license, but am only using 100 nodes at the moment.

I'm polling over 9000 elements and have a few turned down to 1 minute intervals with no problems.

The is quite a difference between 5 min & 1 min polling as far as picking up the peak utilization on a circuit. I like to call them "micro-bursts".

If you have the Engineers toolset integrated with Orion, you can really see this by running the bandwidth monitor, which polls at 15 second intervals by default.

1 minute interval? that's cool, looks like your box has a super horse power inside . How about your polling completion sir?

You can crank it down no problem as long as you have the right hardware, however, a good rule of thumb is at default polling settings the poller typically handles 8000 elements. You turn that down and that 8000 element number goes down as well.
