Getting OID for all fans?

Hello again Experts

I was wondering do you have any tips to ensure that all fans in a Cisco Box is being monitored?

For example, i found some posts on the internet, where the guy monitored 1 fan only, while the box actually had 2 fans, so when the 2nd fan failed, he did not know.

 

Any suggestions?

A 2821 router has 3 fans. Create the following universal device pollers:

Advanced Options: Raw, True/False, GET, Node

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.1  (the last number defined which power supply)

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.2  (the last number defined which power supply)

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.3  (the last number defined which power supply)

 

A Catalyst 4000 has two or three. Use the following:

Advanced Options: Raw, True/False, GET, Node

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.5.1.3.1  (the last number defined which power supply)

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.5.1.3.2  (the last number defined which power supply)

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.5.1.3.3  (the last number defined which power supply)

 

Use the following for the FanTray:

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3  (only one fan tray)

Advanced Options: Raw, True/False, GET NEXT, Node
