I am new to NPM and I am trying to create an alert that will Email the network team when a core router or switch goes down. I created a group called 'critical nodes' and added my core router and switches to this group.
I then tried to create an alert to send the Email wih (2) conditions.
(1) group name is critical nodes
(2) member status is equal to down
The Email message is - ${GroupMemberName} is ${Status} at ${DateTime}
But when I test with the Test button in Alert Manager, the Email sends the name of a completely different node.
The other question is can I combine type of property in my trigger conditions
I'm looking for a best practices guide as well, but can not find anything. I tried watching some of the training videos,but they seem to be dated.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
