How Correlation can be done.

Hello,

Can we achieve correlation in solarwinds. In my view correlation means..we get many alerts for one alert configuration.. but rather than getting many alerts for one alert..all the alerts should be reddened and only one alert has to be raised and that has to be sent.

Need your inputs in performing this activity.

Using dependencies you can do this:

"In the event that a parent object is down, all alerts configured on any child objects in a dependency on the down parent object are automatically suppressed."

Thanks for the information but actually what I need is..

We are working on monitoring signal strength of wifi controller access points. For any reason signal strength goes down for client, all the clients are going send alarms as the threshold of alarms has breached. I want to correlate all the client alarms and show as a single alarm
