All of my snmp messages in trap viewer show IP address in a hostname column instead of a hostname.
How to I change that behavior.
From my experience, I usually get IP address in the caption field if the trap comes in on an IP that has not been associated with a node in Solarwinds. We set all our devices to source the trap from its loopback address. Then we add the loopback address as the monitored IP in solarwinds for that particular node. This makes it so all the traps that come in get associated with the name of the node in solarwinds.
