Trying to as the above into the system and Its not recognizing the unit. Unit polls SNMP just fine but sits are choosing resources and just clocks.
Running NPM 11.5.3
I have this same issue on a Cisco 3850 running IOS 16.3.1 Denali. Using NPM 11.5.3
The switch is polling fine from when it was added to NPM with previous code, but when you press List Resources the following messages displays forever:
Select resources and statistics to monitor:
Please wait while resources are being discovered...Interfaces discovered: 0Volumes discovered: 0
I get the same thing as Eric with Denali 16.1.3. This is BS as Cisco is going to this code as its mainstream and I can't add or monitor switches.
We're seeing the same issue. Anyone have an update?
If no one has an update, I suggest contacting SW Support and opening a ticket. I won't be surprised to learn they're on top of this, but we won't be in the loop if someone doesn't open a ticket and then publish their results in this forum.
I put in a ticket. I'll let everyone know if they can get this fixed.
The response I got back from Solarwinds was that the code wasn't supported yet. So I went to Cisco as well to see if they could figure it out.
Cisco said there was a bug in the 16.1.x code (https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuz97232/?reffering_site=dumpcr)
They also said that the bug would be fixed in the 16.4(0.115) code. I tried out the workaround and was able to add a 3850 with the 16.x code to NPM.
Haven't tried the new code yet.
Symptom:
SNMP may time out or responses will come back after a significant amount of time (a minute or more) when polling certain MIBs on a 3850
Conditions:
First seen on 3850s running 16.1.1 where the MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.7.5.2.1.35.1.48 is being polled and the switch is using a lanbase license level
Workaround:
Issue has not yet been observed in ipservices feature set.
or
Use SNMP VIEW and block AIRESPACE-WIRELESS-MIB [1.3.6.1.4.1.14179] on lanbase license level.
Disable snmp subagent on lanbase license
[CLI] no snmp-server enable subagent
