7.1.89 lost custom properties in Report Writer

Anybody else running the pre-release 7.1 yet? I am and now all of my reports that contain custom properities fields fail. There is no longer a choice for any custom properties in the select fields or filter tabs. Is this just an oversite on the development team or am I missing something?

Are you running reports on the main engine or a remote web engine?

Just got off the phone with support. One extra step that has to be done after the upgrade. Have to update the report schema to add the custom properties. All reports working again.

Thanks for the feedback on 7.1 SLX pre-release.

Looks like some useful new features:

-Fixes for issues with website slowdowns and lockups
-Fixes for issues with polling engine slowdowns
-Account limitations for network interfaces
-Ability to manage DHCP addressed devices
-Added ability to copy maps/objects directly from Visio and other programs.
-Node and Line labels (on the maps) now fully support macros
-Advanced SQL Reports are now available on the web
-New SQL Database structure (web settings and accounts are now stored in the SQL database)
-Improved website performance

Sounds like the Report Writer has some added features which may be why the custom properties no longer display. Perhaps there is another way to select them?
Also the database structure change may have affected how the custom properties are stored/defined?

Edit - I just Downloaded the 7.1 Full Release Version. The release notes explain the
"update report schemas" function you need to run.

Just wanted to inject a quick note on this thread.

When running w/ a remote web engine, the OrionReportWriter.schema needs to be copied from the main engine to remote web enginer whenever the schema is updated.

Perhaps the schema can be put into yet another table in the database so that the copy step can be eliminated.

If you go into the advanced features then custom property editor and right click on the tool bar up top. Then go to properties. In the column on the right scroll down to report schemas. Left click and drag it up on the tool bar then click it. Your customizations will be updated
