Can "Tabs" be renamed?

Just completed the upgrade to 10.0 and besides the change in the resources definitions (we have a few custom resources) everything went well.

My question is, can the Tabs be renamed? "Network" for NPM isn't descriptive enough as there is so much more that "Network" in it.

Good feedback, thanks for posting. I have an enhancement in the system to allow users to both edit existing tabs as well as extend and add new ones

No, they cannot be renamed today. If you could rename it what would you call it? Early on in the development process of 10.0 we showed some mock ups to customers to get some feedback on the tabs and the naming and pretty much all said network was good.

We use NPM to monitor not only our "Network" (Firewalls, Routers, Switches) but Servers, Storage, UPSs, KVMs, ATSs, Air Conditioners, and Generators (Infrastructure). Honestly, if the coffee maker had and ethernet port on it, I'd monitor that too. That's what makes Orion such a valuable tool, It's hardware agnostic and can monitor virtually all of our Infrastructure up the "Stack" (I'm thinking OSI here).

I guess I see a difference between the "Network" that carries the traffic and the "Servers" that generate and use the traffic. But it's all "Infrastructure"

For the most part users got used to the product names and what they did, but recently we're rolling out Orion views to, Level 1 support and other "not as experencedl users", so a tab names "Network" may not express what is there being monitored for them.

So if I could rename the tabs, I would most likly go with:

Core Infrastructure (for Network - NPM) - Server Applications (for Applications - APM) - Network Configs (for Configs - NCM) - Network SLAs (for IP SLAs -IPSLA) - Network Traffic (for Netflow - NTA).
