How to calculate uptime/availability minus maintenance windows?

SolarWinds has a built in environment-wide availability report.  I can also see the SQL it runs to generate the report using the Report Writer on the server.  What we are looking for is a way to change the SQL statement to exclude our maintenance windows when we reboot our production servers.  We suck at math, but we have DBA's that can try some statements out.

You can try this SQL QUERY. It is modified availability and response time report. This is Last day report.

Bold texts was added. Is it enough for you? I think it can be modified to join unmanaged window in NPM too. I hope somewhere in thwack should be some examples.
