Can anybody from Solarwinds provide a list of AP's that work with the wireless networks monitor?
The 5 or so different AP's that I have lying around don't work.
Are there any plans to offer broader device support?
Which APs do you have? We may be expanding support, but no firm decisions have been made.
Sonicwall Sonicpoint, Sonicwall TZ170, USR Professional Access points (5453), a collection Linksys bits and bobs.
We're planning on rolling out sonicpoints so we'd be most interested in those, but the USR kit is also of interest.
I believe it's Instant802Nerworks kit underneath.

Only problem with a SonicPoint is that all the config is done from a SonicWall appliance such as the TZ170 you mentioned.
SonicWall's MIB is somewhat limited so quite likey won't give anything useful
We're running Agere Orinoco AP-700's - that seem to be *mostly* supported, but we're having a few problems.
We are also runing the AP-700's and they are not showing up the connected users and other Wireless statics.

We are also running the Proxim/Agere Orinoco AP-700 APs, and they are supported to the point of up/interface monitoring, but the wireless-specific features aren't working: "Wireless Device not found in Database" is the error returned.
Can you tell me what version of NPM you are currently running?
We're running a new install of NPM 9.5 SP4.
Thanks!
Would really like to see some support for my Siemens/Enterasys HiPath Wireless controller, considering that discovering it ate up a ton of licenses on my NPM side when I upgraded to 9.5..
NPM sees it as a wirless controller / device however SSIDs just show up as generic networks, and I can get no wireless statistics like connected users, etc..
According to Enterasys, the controller supports the standard 802.11 MIB. It would be nice if support for this was introduced.
We also have a wireless controller and thin AP's that dont' seem to register. I get the Wireless device was not found in database! error message for the list of thin access points.
We are running NPM 9.5 sp4. Our wireless controller is a BlueSocket 2200, our APs are BlueSocket 1540 thin APs. I assume there isn't device support for this?
Thanks.
