Manage Views - View Limitations - node name pattern

I'm trying to get a custom view to come up for Node Details for VPN routers based on Node Name matching.  I've verified my account is set to "by device type" and tried "node details" too.  Nothing I do seems to apply that view when I click on the object.  When I preview, one of the correct devices shows up, so I know there are "matches".
Basically, I need to know how to apply the view ID to the specific Nodes (using custom pollers for IPSEC/ISAKMP).

There's an option in the Admin menu called "Views by Device Type" which allows you to specify views to device types such as "Windows 2003 Domain Controller" and "Windows 2003 Server". However, I'm guessing you're looking for something a little more but I'm a littled confused by what you want. I don't think you can apply a custom view to specific individual nodes.



If I understand you correctly, the only possible way would be to create an account limitation to just those specific nodes and then specify your custom node view for that account. Hopefully I'm understanding you correctly and conveying this clearly.
