about 3com snmp proxy

I have 3com CB9000 with 3 modules.
According to the 3com, they can use one ip with different community strings to view different modules.
However, in Orion, we only can use one ip with one community string for one node.
How can I use different nodes with same ip and different community trings?

Cause: A proxy mechanism for accessing the blade agents needs to be used for 'community_name@fabric' for the 3CB9FG24 and 'community_name@slot_x.y' for the I/O blades (x=slot, y=subslot).

Fix: The EME v2.0.1 operational software will show you these values with the "show snmp extensions" command. The Release notes for this version will have this info and A future version of the EME Users Guide will contain this information.

Hello there Ozzy,

First you can't do that. Orion will not let you have multiple device entries for the same IP address at this time.

Second it sounds as if, based on the quote below your problem description, you would like to monitor some info about the actual backplane I/O and module statistics.

Orion doesn't do this either. It only looks at a specific set of MIBs. If you want custom MIB support you should let the kids at SW know.

I am sure they are working on it. However, the forum gods have not felt the need to inform us of when we can expect this to be included (a 6 to 9 month window would be fine).
