many nodes, same IP / shared monitoring

Hi all,

Suppose I'm monitoring two client's network devices. In there LAN, they are using same IP range. If two devices one from each client's LAN having same IP (10.2.2.3). Then how can we add them in solarwinds ? While adding second device with same IP, solarwinds shows error.

And what can be the different option we can opt.

You cant add two nodes with same IP's. If you are planning to monitor multiple clients, One Solarwinds setup with overlapping IP's.. Its not possible.

One best option is to go for Additional poller at each client sites.

You actually can but you do have to have a separate polling engine, so technically you can have the same ip address pulled by the same Solarwinds polling engine like your main poller.

I have the same situation, is this correct that additional pollers will resolve this.

I have one main poller but now need to monitor additional partners, so could a poler at each partner site solve this
