Can't add more interfaces

Helloo everybody

I have 3 questions if you would allow me to ask.

 

First of all my componey still works on orion NPM v 8 , we didn't upgrade till now.

My questions are.

1- I have router Cisco 7206 VXR & can't add on solar more interfaces "more than 29 interfaces" every time I right click,list resources, trying to check more to add , it automatically replaces the new added interface & delete an old one. How can I tune this ?

 

2- I have one router configured to support SNMP , using the normal SNMP-server command with the proper communty string, but when i add it on solar it tells me that there is no such community string . Does it somthing related to SNMP version conflict ? if so how can I check the version from router & solar.

 

3- I have version 8 as you know. We are considering buying version 10. How can I back up data to import it into the new NPM 10 (We don't have separate sql installed).

Since NPM 8.X is no longer officially supported, I can try to provide some possible answers or directions for further investigation. Perhaps the community will jump in to assist, as well.

1. Are you near your total element count for your license? You may be seeing a bug, but the best recommendation would be to upgrade to 10.1.3.
2. Without knowing the name/model/type device you are trying to monitor, it's not possible to provide the best way to determine the version of SNMP you are running. Either consult available technical resources for the product in question or post back here with the device name and someone else here may be able to help. As for the SolarWinds side of it, again, the recommendation is to upgrade to 10.1.3.
3. Given the recommendations of 1) and 2), if you do decide to upgrade, follow the Upgrade Instructions that are available in your Customer Portal. There you will be advised to not only backup your current database, but you will given links to intermediate versiions to ensure that you database is updated as required, along with your SolarWinds products.
