Adding Indexes?
Don331
Having just added some custom fields for the nodes, and if I'm pulling lots of reports based on those fields, can I add an index to it to speed it up and avoid full table scans?

Hi Don,
I'm no DBA but I think I know what you're saying.
I found that the report performance is dependant on the order of your filter.
I created some 90 day interface reports which would sometimes timeout (depending on how busy the Orion DB was when running the report). I found that changing the order of the items in the Report Writer filter in a more logical order helped. I eventually ended up creating multiple reports with fewer nodes on each report to get around the timeout issue.
Running a DB intensive report really affects the performance of the Orion web interface for all users until it completes. You could also schedule the report to run off hours with the Report Scheduler to improve performance.
