unable to configurare email alerts

Hi there

Currently running a fresh installation of Orion Network Performance Monitor 8.5.1 SP3 on Windows 2003 SP2.

I've tried to configure email alerts within the system manager, but I'm unable to. When configuring basic alerts the button "Add Alert Action" (Tab "Actions") does not work at all, no pop windows or anything to add an alert appears. When configuring advanced alerts and try to add an email alert action, the options "Send email" and "email a web page" do not contain an icon (01). When continuing an empty entry appears on the main window (02). Trying to edit this one ends in a runtime error (03)...

Hope there are any good ideas out there....thanks so far!

Any dll errors during the install?

no, setup ran quite smooth...

First start of the system manager quits with an error, that "swlogo.ocx" is not properly registered. Re-registered it and could start it then...

have you configured the mail server and acct to use when sending emails in Orion?

I've also opened a support ticket; received the recommendation "completely uninstall Orion. Then uninstall and reinstall .Net Framework versions 2 and 3. I would also recommend installing the Service packs for both versions of .Net Framework. Once done, reinstall Orion."

Did this, and it solved my problem.
