NPM installation Failed

Hi,

I am installing NPM version 10.1 under windows 2008 Standard - 32 bit.

The Windows is a fresh install nothing inside yet. Framework 3.5 and IIS already added

During the NPM installation Wizard I got this error

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Database configuration failed:

• Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

Website configuration failed:

• Web Request for /Orion/Login.aspx failed - The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

What might went wrong and how do I resolve this ?

The problem had been resolve, it's due to permission on some of the Orion installation file.

Hard to say without seeing more data/diags. Try re-running the configuration wizard. Are you a customer or evaluating?

Hi,

Well for my case it's a permission problem. Somehow when the server join a domain, it did change some permission.

If this is a new server, advice you reinstalled the OS (faster then try to troubleshoot the permission one by one) and Orion

don't join domain until you finish all the installation process (on Orion).

OK many thanks, however this is an existing server but I will check the permissions
