Orion license question

I am a fairly new Orion user and I have a questions about how the licensing works. Let's say my annual maintenance renewal comes due on July 1, and I forget that fact.

What happens to my Orion software on July 2?

Will it still function, or will I have to renew first?

Will it still work on the current version, but not let me upgrade until I renew my maintenance?

Correct,your software will still function on July 2nd, but you just will not be eligible for any new version upgrades/updates and service packs, MIB database updates and the ability to open official support tickets.

It'll work, but if you let maintenance lapse and then want a new version, it will be much more expensive than it would have been to keep maintenance up to date.
