This is starting to get annoying.
This is how may nodes and interfaces we have setup to poll with our SW server.
Network Elements | 520 Nodes, 4403 Interfaces, 1096 Volumes, 6019 Total Elements |
What is happening is that the server never finishes the polling process only get to
Polling Completion | 96.27 % |
Then when I go into the polls per second tuning each day I have to set this to a lower number or our graphs get all spotty and not connected by lines but just full of dots. We have added and removed different elements and I did install APM on this server.
Polling on the server is
Default poll interval for nodes is 120 sec
default poll interval for interfaces is 180 seconds
default poll interval for volumes is 360 seconds
rediscover resources every 30 minutes
This is the NPM engine status

I have not had an issue with this until the installation of APM on the server which could be the problem.
Our server is an HP DL380 with a quad core XEON 3.20Ghz processor and 4 Gigs of Ram
Just trying to figure out why the polling engine tuner keeps telling me to tune down the polls for nodes and interfaces and the max statistics collections.
Any help would be appreciated
