RSTP detection

 Has anyone ever played with making Orion detect what RSTP is doing?

Specificly in my case we have a RSTP ring, with a map that represents it.  now the problem is every link is green.  While with RSTP one should be red because it is being blocked.

And suggestions? has anyone done this?

You would have to get the RSTP value using the Custom Poller and know which OID to poll.
If you wanted to display this in a map as a colored icon, you would run into the same issue as this user.
