Interface Traffic Polling

We currently poll interfaces for traffic every 60 seconds.

When looking at the interface bandwidith statistics on Orion. We can only look at 5 minute increments.

We would like to see 1 minute increments.

Orion allows me to set a 60 second polling, so I assume I can graph at that level.

I might be missing something.

Look at this:
server_address/NetPerfMon/Chart.asp?Chart=TotalBytes&NetObject=I:1724&Period=Today&SampleSize=20M&FontSize=&Width=600&Height=0

The important thing to you is: SampleSize=20M

You can set the time sample to any increment from 1M to 1D (1 day).

So build yourself a Custom Chart and set SampleSize=1M

One thing I've noticed, is that the 1 minute mirrors the 5 minute samples.

I assume it's because the MIB on Cisco Device gives out 5 minute averages.

To shorten your window to 1 minute you will have to use something far more painful - netflow
