SQL Problems

Hey All,

Wondered if anyone could help me. I have a copy of SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition (x32). I am new to SQL Server, but I think the install all goes according to plan.

However when I install the NCP v9.5 it installs some additional components for SQL Server (2008 ?) and then when I run the wizard I get the following error:

You are trying to use unsupported version of Microsoft SQL Server. Please use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP1 or Later.

What am I doing wrong?

What Service Pack do you have applied to your SQL 2005 install?

DOH.... Is there a qucking myself emote?

I just realised I had not re-applied the SP1 exe file. Oh well I am downloading SP3 now as that is the latest.

Still having a problem once Solarwinds is installed. As I am importing an existing DB when I run the Configuration Wizard I put the existing DB credentails, but it won't accept them, so I use Windows Authentication.

However when I then goto next step I enter the credentails and it goes through, but the Wizard fails saying something about not being able to delete the account from the DB and that I need to do it manually?

Any idea's
