Error installing Netflow - Error while executing script- The logical file name "SolarwindsProd_FG1" is already in use

While trying to install Netflow onto my existing installation which is - Orion Platform 2019.2 HF2, VNQM 4.6.0, NPM 12.5, SAM 6.9.1, NetPath 1.1.5

Everything looked good during most of the install, I was using 12.5 HF3 software.

Then I received this message:

Since I don't have any options I just chose exit install because that's all that was provided.

Now my Orion thinks its 12.5 HF1, it thinks Netflow is installed, yet it doesn't show up in the menu.

At this point I am restoring my DB and Server as my change window is almost over but what could I have done differently to make this a success?

HI Bob,

Are you trying to use a new DB for NTA or the existing Orin DB?

I set up a new SQL 2016 SP2 Database specifically for Netflow. When I went through the wizard all of the database connection questions were answered for both the Orion and Netflow databases just fine. The installer starting going through the remaining part of the install like everything was going to be great then stopped with the above error.

Bob, can you open a support case for this? I asked the development team to take a look at it, and they'd like to get onto your system for a closer inspection.

Thanks! I have a case open #00416120 however I need to get my maintenance straightened out first as somehow it didn't get paid on time so they 'shut off the power'

I tried doing the install a second time and got the same error. Opened up support case #00536187 but support stated they don't know what is causing this. Anyone have any ideas? I was upgrading from 12.5 to 2019.4 and at the same time adding the Netflow product. The user ID I am using on the SQL server has SA rights and I was allowing the installer to create the Netflow database. I will be trying the install again in a couple weeks but next time I will be first upgrading to 2019.4, taking backups, then on another day installing Netflow.

The error I received is below.
