We have 3 separate installs of Orion, with NPM, NCM, SAM, NTA, and VNQM. We're running:
On 1 - Orion Platform 2019.2, VNQM 4.6.0, IPAM 4.9.0, SAM 6.9.0, NCM 8.0, NetPath 1.1.5, NPM 12.5, NTA 4.6.0
On the other 2 - Orion Platform 2018.4 HF3, VNQM 4.5.1, NCM 7.9, NPM 12.4, NetPath 1.1.4, SAM 6.8.0, NTA 4.5.0
While troubleshooting not receiving Group up alerts from a custom alert that only fires if the name of the group contains a particular string, I noticed there are 2 sets of Out of the Box alerts on all 3 nodes:
1. Group is down
I want to alert on: Group
The scope of the alert: All Objects in my environment
Group Status is equal to Down
Actions:
NetPerfMon Event Log: NetPerMon Event Log: Group ${N=SwisEntity;M=Name} is ${N=SwisEntity;M=StatusDescription}
Send an Email/Page (ALERT: ${N=SwisEntity;M=Name} is ${N=SwisEntity;M=Status;F=Status})
2. Alert me when a group goes down
I want to alert on: Group
The scope of the alert: All Objects in my environment
Group Status is equal to Down
Actions:
NetPerfMon Event Log : NetPerMon Event Log: Group ${N=SwisEntity;M=Name} is ${N=SwisEntity;M=Status;F=Status}
There's a slightly different action for the Event Log.
Both are enabled. Not sure if they're enabled Out of the Box or not.
Our installs date back 10 years or more, so one of these might be ancient, for all I know.
If one of the above is no longer Out of the Box, I'd like to delete it. Does anyone know if there's a list of current Out of the Box alerts?
