How Do I Customize My View for My Login

I want to be able to customize my own maps, not adding nodes but using the same nodes that already exist on a map. All I want to do is add a different enhanced background image to maps that are already created and change the location of the nodes for my view only. I don't want to change the view of the entire NPM clients. How do I get started or can someone lead me to some good training tutorials on this subject?

. Go to settings --> manage accounts --> select your account and make note of your default summary view

Go to settings --> manage accounts --> select your account and make note of your default summary view
Back to admin and select manage views highlight the view that is assigned to you and hit copy you should now see copy of that view you selected
select edit rename the view to something more meaningful and hit UPDATE
Go back to your account and assign that view to your default summary view and select submit
Go back to your home page and customize the page with the maps that you want to see without affecting anyone else's view.

Ok. I logged in as Administrator, created an account.."JerrysView". I copied our MainView, renamed to JerrysPlayground. I now have the default summary view of JerrysPlayground into JerrysView,. I now want to change the background image, under JerrysView, to some of the maps using Atlas that wont effect the other users. Do you how I go about this? Does JerrysView account need admin rights?
