Hi
Is that a service only (bug fix) release or there is someting new?
/SJA
10.6.1 is a SR with several security and performance fixes. Release notes forthcoming.
10.6.1 Release Notes !
Perhaps a dumb question, but I am curious...
Why are the developers working on NPM 10.6.1 while at the same time working on 10.7, which seems to be already in beta 4 stage? It seems to me that spending time on 10.7 would be much better use of their time, especially since 10.6.1 contains no new features. Again, maybe a dumb question...
Not a dumb question- items that are included in a service release are generally deemed urgent enough that we don't want to wait for the next major release. Our dev process fortunately is flexible enough to accommodate for this.
I see alot of value in service release.
Thanks Solarwinds.
I allways upgrate to first service release and not .0 that one run on the lab.
So in our Change Approval meeting I'm going to be asked "What security vulnerabilities are being fixed?" What is my answer?
Nothing publicly disclosed yet, but very minor issues mostly related to vestigial ActiveX controls that needed to be removed. Certainly not urgent- but when we hear about a security issue, no matter how minor, we want to address it ASAP.
