Log Fowarder problem

I've installed the new Log Fowarder on about 10 servers. It was working fine on all of the servers until I had to reboot them. On about half of them the service did not automatically start when the server was rebooted. I was able to manually start the service on a couple of them, but on others I can't get the service to start at all. I receive a time out error, but there isn't any other errors as to why it can't start. All 10 of the servers are running Server 2003 with the latest service pack. Anyone have any idea how I can fix Solarwinds software so it will start?

That's funny. I opened a support case last week and they said they couldn't help me. They told me to post something here to get help from the community.

If you're on active maintenance for either Orion or Kiwi Syslog, you are absolutely entitled to support on the Log Forwarder component. I'm really sorry about the confusion.

Did you download the Log Forwarder component from your customer portal? I ask because I'm wondering if you've been installing the evaluation version which expires after 30 days.

Yes, we are on active maintenance. This is what I was told by support.

"Support is only provided for Licensed products. Any and all free tools or add-on components are supported via thwack, who's members include : Solarwinds Developers, Solarwinds Support Personnel, and users."

Yes, I downloaded it from our customer portal.
