8.5 reports are 1-2Mb in size compared to 15Kb in 7.x

When we went from 7.x to 8.5 all our emailed reports were changed by the upgrade and jumped to somewhere between 1-2 Mb in size. They have all this code attached to them for, which I think required Engineers Edition to use. It works for no one, because no one has it installed on their PC.

How do we get rid of this unwanted SPAM-bloat? Our email boxes fill up with this attached junk now. It's really annoying and completely unnecessary.

Did you just switch to 8.5?

No, it's been an issue for the last year we've been running at 8.5.1.

One daily report has a 1.4Mb attachment in addition to the 400K of html & graphs. ("att10481.dat" was yesterday's name--I believe the ### may change).

When I open the attachment in wordpad, I can see it is executable code. Wading through it I do see references to /Orion/Common/ files and "SW Toolset".

I also noticed tonight, that the scheduled report jobs were still logging under NPM v7 directory in Program Files. I checked and the scheduled jobs (under Windows Scheduler) still pointed to the V7 directory, instead of the V8 directory. I repointed them to V8. I guess the upgrade doesn't follow through with updating any existing-scheduled Orion Jobs in Windows.

We'll see what happens in the overnight. It would be nice if we didn't have 5Mb a day of useless attachments in Outlook (especially with a 50Mb mailbox limit).
