Hello,
I have come across an instance where multiple IPAM.subnet records for the same subnet have different Distances.
This results in a unique record per Distance.
There is nothing visibly unique about the affected sub-set of subnets in IPAM, and the network architect has stated there's nothing unique about the subnets themselves in the network design. He also confirmed that one of the subnets listed with multiple Distances (0, 1, 2) are the same subnet where Orion resides (where Network Sonar executes).
What is the meaning of the Distance attribute?
Why would a single CIDR report multiple Distances by way of discovery Network Sonar or by manual subnet entry?
Thanks!
Matt
