Is it possible to Monitor IP SLA without VNQM? Perhaps with a customized universal device poller?

I have NPM, but not VNQM.

One of my team members is concerned about jitter between two WAN sites that causes problems for viewing videos between them.

I did a cursory search of Thwack and came up with a page that briefly says NPM won't monitor IP SLA's, and that VNQM is required (Cisco SLA monitoring - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support ).

If you know of a way around this, I'd love to learn how NPM can monitor IPSLA's (perhaps with uNDP's?) until I can purchase VNQM (another year, due to budget status).

How are folks monitoring or measuring jitter through Cisco Nexus gear?

I think you're right. OIDs I supplied seem not to apply to Nexus.

Based on these web pages, perhaps trap-based monitoring is your way forward.

That's what I'm thinking, too.

Of course, I have yet to open a TAC case with Cisco to ask whether there's a MIB with OID's that can monitor jitter there. That's my next step, while one of my peers works on the trap generation.
