Custom Poller Variable in MAPS

Hi,

Hope that someone can help me out here.

Have been trying to get a rate value displayed on our map, my poller get active isdn linies.

So tryed ${Rate} on Node and interface icon

even tryed: ${SQL:Select Rate From CustomPollerStatus where CustomPollerAssignmentID like '3B6C8C2F-CCAE-4008-84F6-1411E442A7F5'}

non of them are shown, anyone know what i'am doing wrong?

Tryed in both 7.5, 8.1 and 8.5 (not 8.5.1)

What exactly is this "rate" value supposed to represent?

Custom pollers save values in DB as "Rate", "Raw" or "status" i just want this value dispalyed on the map.

Lets say that i have a custom poller that get the number of vpn sessions active on a firewall and i want that displayed on the map.

I don't know if this has changed in 8.5 (or 8.5.1) but it looks like most of the Advanced Alert Engine Variables aren't processed when used as map labels such as ${Node.IP_Address} and ${Node.Caption}. However, set any one of the Basic Alert Engine Variables as a label such as ${IP} and there's no problem. Unfortunately, since Custom MIB Poller and SQL Query fall under the Advanced Alert Engine Variables, it would explain the problem you're having.
