ASA 5510 interface monitoring after upgrading from 7.2.2 to 7.2.3 image

Hi!

Our organization currently has Orion 8.5.1. We have a Cisco 5510 that was running 7.2.2(19) image and was upgraded to 7.2.3(12). After the upgrade and reboot, Orion shows all of the interfaces in an unknown state. I did not see any changes made to SNMP by doing this upgrade on the ASA. I can use MIB Browser and see the interface speeds, status, etc. by browsing the OIDs. It just doesn't seem to want to gather the interface information into Orion System Manager. I have tried deleting / rediscovering / recreating the device with no luck. I'm hoping that there is an update that may provide a solution other than custom MIBs? I'm wondering if the upgrade to the ASA might have changed the OIDs that Orion looks at?

I'm having the same problem with my asa. I upgraded it from 8.0.2 to 8.0.3 and now my fail over interfaces shows a state as Unknown. However when I log into the system manager and look at the resources I don't even see that fail over interface.

Good to know that it's not just me. I haven't looked into the coding, but I think the answer will be more clear when I can find out what OIDs are being used and match those up with the ones in MIB Browser. Hopefully some more insight can be passed along to us.

I have done more testing and discovered that the "Realtime Interface Monitor" sees the interfaces and can poll data. When I try "Bandwidth Gauges", I get the message "Error polling *FQDN* (*IP*) No Such Name". I have another ASA running 7.0(7) that can run "Bandwidth Gauges". To me both device OIDs look to be the same when I used MIB Walk.

We are experiencing the same problem. After upgrading to 7.2.3 (and now even running 7.2.3.12) the status of the ASA interfaces is not visible anymore (unknown state). When using an SNMP walker it showed the ASA is capable of showing the interface status.

Does anyone already has a solution for this?
