We recently installed about 28 Brocade 16 slot MLX chassis. I have bene taked with creating a graph that will show CPU utilization.
The Brocade chassis has a number of different CPU's to graph. there is a CPU for the line card and the switch module for example. We would like to create a graph that shows the Line card CPU utilization. I can use the following MIB
1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.2.11.1.1.4
That mib will display a table showing all CPU's for the line cards along with all values for the CPU utilization in the last 1 second, 5 seconds, 60 seconds or 300 seconds. So every slot has 4 different values for CPU utilization. I am just interestd in the 300 second value.
My chanllenge is how to create a graph that is meaningful. Meaningful means that each line is labeled and I can show which value is being graphed. If AI just enter the MIB above I do get a graph and I can select which lines to display but I can not label the lines in the legand.
I can create individual universal pollers that specify each line card CPU so that I can give each graph a meaningful name but then I can't combine all of these graphs into one multiline graph so I could potentially have a page with 16 different graphs with 16 differnet scales. Does anyone have any advice on how to put multiple CPU lines in one graph with meaningful names?
